I’m an Arkansas native and a simple, self-taught, home baker/chief cook. I firmly believe the kitchen is the heart of the home and the place where some of our greatest and dearest memories are created – along with a few delicious recipes as well. My first experience with baking was with an Easy Bake Oven™ in 1965. My Mom let me watch her and copy what she was making. There were many failures along the way, but Mom always told me, “It will be fine!” She was right. It was her never-ending encouragement that built the foundation for my love of baking/cooking. I want to pass that encouragement on to others in their kitchens and especially to my near perfect daughter, Lauren.
