Your Hour To Devour
“Your Hour to Devour,” based on my slogan “My Hour to Devour,” entails the growth I’ve had in my career starting as a young chef to evolving as a social media influencer sharing my progress with the world, including recipes that I’ve developed since I was 18 years old.
When I had the opportunity to work on my book, it took me a few months to think about it because at the time I wasn’t ready, but eventually when I had the time I decided to take action and started to work on this masterpiece.
All 50 recipes feature my original takes on comfort foods of various cuisines both sweet and savory for any time of day including Breakfast, Appetizers, Entrees, Sides, Desserts, and my Collaborative Recipes featuring all of the above.
Enjoy ”Indian Butter Chicken with Naan Bread,” Kansas-Style “BBQ Ribs with Mac & Cheese,” dazzling cakes just like my “Strawberry Shortcake,” and some fusion cuisine from my Collaborative Recipes such as “Chi Kitchen’s Kimchi Arancini” inspired by a small business from Rhode Island.
Other recipes that I truly enjoyed recreating for my book are my Mom’s “Mangu con Los Tres Golpes“ and my stepmom’s Colombian Arepas to share my love for both my family and my culture, even some recipes as reminders of great moments in my life like when I was invited by SONY to the early premiere of Venom 3 and created “Venom Cookies & Cream Popcorn” inspired by the film.
About this creator
Chef David Rivoli
My name is David Rivoli and I’m a chef residing in Providence, Rhode Island. Originally I’m from Miami, Florida, but I moved to Rhode Island to graduate from Johnson & Wales University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts due to the events of the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020. During that same time, being a Gen Z teen and having a skill in Social Media, I started working on creating content professionally sharing my life as a chef working at restaurants, events, daily life in culinary school, and recipe demonstrations.
Now it’s evolved to having more than 60K followers across all social platforms (@chefdavidrivoli), and started my own Digital Marketing Agency promoting restaurants and small businesses all across New England to help the Foodservice/Industry thrive while we all go through a tough economic situation.
Having 7 years of restaurant experience in all types of dining along with 4 years of being a Content Creator, I’ve used my combined skills to create new recipes and techniques such as my specialities for baking and fusion cuisine, working for large companies in promoting their brand, and influencing other people to join my industry. If there’s one word that can describe me then it would be eccentric, because I’ve done the most random things to practice cooking, create content, market for businesses, and catering for the public to achieve great results such as completing my first cookbook.
Also, two important lessons I’ve learned that’s helped my career grow is “the learning never stops” (Keith Garman 2020) and “all the best people are crazy (Melanie Martinez 2017), and seeing how far I’ve come today, these lessons are important for anyone in my industry to adhere to.
